Sunexo Restaurant was born in 2018 from a simple yet powerful vision — to create a dining destination in New Delhi that honors India's rich culinary heritage while embracing the innovations of modern gastronomy. Founded by Chef Rajesh Kapoor, a culinary visionary with over two decades of international experience, Sunexo opened its doors at Shop No. 28, Connaught Place Inner Circle, with a mission to redefine fine dining in the capital.

The name "Sunexo" is derived from the fusion of "Sun" — symbolizing warmth, energy, and the golden glow of Indian spices — and "Exo" — representing the exotic and extraordinary. Together, they encapsulate our philosophy of bringing warmth and exotic flavors to every plate we serve.

From our humble beginnings as a 40-cover restaurant, Sunexo has grown into one of Connaught Place's most beloved dining destinations, serving over 50,000 satisfied guests and earning accolades from food critics, bloggers, and loyal patrons alike.

Every element of Sunexo — from the handpicked antique décor pieces sourced from Rajasthan's artisan markets to the custom-designed lighting that creates an intimate, golden-hour ambiance — has been thoughtfully curated to transport our guests into a world of culinary luxury.

Our Journey

2018

The Beginning

Sunexo Restaurant opens its doors at Connaught Place, New Delhi, with a 40-cover capacity and a menu featuring 60 curated dishes spanning North Indian, Mughlai, and select international cuisines. The response from Day 1 was overwhelming.

2019

Recognition & Growth

Within a year, Sunexo receives the "Best New Restaurant in Delhi" award from FoodFest India. We expand our seating to 80 covers and introduce our signature Craft Cocktail Bar.

2020

Resilience Through Adversity

The pandemic tested us, but we adapted swiftly. We launched Sunexo@Home — a premium delivery service with specially designed packaging that maintained food quality and temperature.

2022

The Grand Expansion

Post-pandemic, we unveiled our renovated 120-cover restaurant with a private dining room, an open-display kitchen, and a dedicated dessert bar. Our menu grew to 150+ items including a new Pan-Asian section.

2024

50,000 Happy Guests

Sunexo crosses the milestone of serving 50,000 guests. We launch our online ordering platform at sunexo.shop, making it easier than ever for our patrons to enjoy Sunexo's flavors at home.
